This past week I've been spending my time hanging out with the other exchangers mostly. We've been out for "fikas" (snacks at the coffee shop), went to see a movie, had a dinner together with all our host parents, and all travelled to Stockholm together yesterday. My group of "newbies" is Rachel from the U.S., Carlos from Mexico, Marianne from France, and I, but there's other exchangers here in Eskilstuna as well who are from Australia and they arrived in January. The pic above is of some of the group in Stockholm yesterday including a couple cof the "oldies" from Australia who live in Stockholm, and the one below is of Marianne, Amy (from Australia- she lives in Eskilstuna aswell), and I riding one of the Dalarna horses which are famous in Sweden.

Here you can see the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace in Gamla Stan (the old city). It is about a 45 minute long ceremony with horses and music and a lot of marching! (much more impressive than the changing of the guard in Britain!)
This pic is of the Royal Palace in Stockhom although the Royal Family actually lives outside the city at a different residence.
