HALLOWEEN!

Sorry for having not written in so long! I've been very busy the past few weeks!
This week was very exciting because it was HALLOWEEN (and autumn break at school)! Also one of the exchangers who was in Eskilstuna last year, came back to visit (Bryan from France), which meant SAUNA time! The first pics are from Saturday night when everyone went over to Bryan's old host family's house and had some sauna time and Rachel and I had some "gangsta' " photo taking time!

You may notice that I am wearing a swimsuit - for anyone's who's curious, no that is not the new fashion in Sweden! I just happened to be in the sauna when everyone decided it was picture taking time.

On Monday, Amy, Steele, Rachel, and Bryan came over to my place to carve pumpkins and then decorate for my halloween party the next night. You can see the end products in the picture (I am quite proud!) Mine had a moustache which was quite special...

Finally on Tuesday it was my PARTY which I had been planning for 2 months! My host dad helped out a lot by setting up his dj stereo equipment and cleaning his tools from the garage / newly named party area. The end product included jackolanterns, orange mini lights, dj lights that moved to the music, fake spiderwebs, and many more decorations everywhere!

About 15 exchangers came along with about 20 Swedes (but no randoms, only people I knew) over the course of the night so it was a blast!

We danced, bobbed for apples, and went running outside because it started snowing for the first time here! Overall it was a huge success! (the only bad part was that I had to spend all of Wednesday cleaning - but hey it was worth it!)
Happy Halloween everyone! Hope y'all had fun!

Looks like a great time was had by all. What a good sport Henrik was, to clear out his tools even, for you - I don't think Dad would be up to the task!!! Too much to clear out. Looks like you also found some more decor items in Sweden to accent the awesome pumpkin carving skills of your friends. Good times (great oldies). Halloween here was quite cold and snowy with about 50-60 kids coming round for treats, and of course Caitlin went treating at Maggie's and ended up trick or drinking a glass of wine to celebrate the evening (lol). Now the Christmas shopping has begun, and it is definitely Christmassy out there!

Love you,
XXOO, Mom
