A trip to Borlänge

Last weekend I went to Borlänge which is a town considered to be in the North of Sweden (although, really it's kinda in the middle). There was lots and lots of snow there which was awesome.
This picture is of my friend's cabin. It's very typical Swedish with the red paint and blue door.

I made my first Swedish snowman and had my first Swedish snowball fight! WOOHOO!
All in all, it was a great weekend packed with fika, shopping, and playing in the snow- in the dark because it gets dark at about 4:45 right now and in december it will be dark just past 3 (which is extreme, even by Canadian standards)

This week, I'm back to school, and back to going to the gym most nights, but next week I'm taking the boat to Finland with 10 of the other exchange students, and a couple of Rotary counsellors from Stockholm! : ) Wish me bon voyage!

Bon Voyage indeed, dear. Have fun in Helsinki. Maybe you will see Elayna there? She sounded lonely when you spoke of her living in a small toen with no other internationals. Are the Host parents still going with you?

Claire, you put the dots on top of the wrong letter; it should be "Borlänge"! haha. You should start working on those Swedish skills...

See-you!
